  • Board of Appeal and Equalization Meeting - April 11, 2012
Property owners desiring to appeal your 2012 valuation or classification to the Medina Local Board of Appeals and Equalization must follow three steps prior to the meeting on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. in Medina City Hall.

Step 1:  Contact the City Assessor at (763) 473-3978.  Contacting the City Assessor will allow you the opportunity to work out a valuation or classification change prior to the Local Board meeting.  It will also allow the City Assessor time to bring any information or analysis on your property to the Local Board meeting.

Step 2:  Complete the City application prior to the Local Board meeting, which can be retrieved by clicking on the link above or by contacting Jodi Gallup at City Hall (763) 473-8850 or jodi.gallup@ci.medina.mn.us.

Step 3:  Submit supporting evidence for a valuation or classification change.  Supporting evidence may include comparable properties in your neighborhood or an appraisal.  More information is included on the back side of the City application.

  • Crime Alert Network
    Posted 2.18.2009
Starting in 2009, the Medina Police Department will be establishing a crime alert network for the residents and business owners of Medina. The Department is asking that you send an email to Medina Police if you are interested in being on the list for any crime alert information.

In the recent past, Medina had a suspicious male, driving a van, approach a child and offer him a ride home. In another area of the city, Medina has been experiencing automobile break-ins and burglaries. Medina Police desires to instantly notify residents, by email, of particular a crime or crimes occurring in their neighborhoods. This information would be put out directly to residents to take necessary precautions and assist Medina Police in reporting any suspicious activity.

If you are interested in this program, please send an email to anne@ci.medina.mn.us. In the subject line put “Crime Alert Network”. Please include your name, address and phone number in your email. Your email address will be added to the list for the crime alerts. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Medina Police Department at 763-473-9209.
